Salem Bus Facility

Project Scope: Turnstone was subcontracted by Continental Paving to be the General Contractor for the building portion of this project at the exit 2 park and ride. The building is a bus terminal and serves as the ticket and waiting office for people who wish to take a bus. The building skeleton is steel with wood structure for the roof, wood truss with roof rafters and a significant amount of bracing and blocking. The exterior of the building is block walls with brick veneer. It has a radiant floor heating system with supplemental overhead heat; a security camera system; data center, cabeling and wiring; a special aluminum gutter system; gutter drains on the interior walls that tied into the drainage system; tile flooring in the bathrooms; VCT in the offices and rubber flooring in the common areas; drywall; insulation; specialty soffit work at the exterior of the building; aluminum storefront windows and automatic doors; and all the required finishes. Turnstone Corporations team members performed all of the carpentry work on this project including the drywall.
